Our philosophy is that you can renew your mind and body and achieve optimal health with all natural therapies and education. We believe that awareness of the holistic mind/body/well-being connection and knowledge of our bio-individuality and nutrition can lead to positive choices, actions and behavior. This in turn leads to optimization of our health.

Our Mission is first, to become a trusted and respected source for innovative, alternative and complementary health solutions which a) help prevent disease and illness, b) heal and/or rehabilitate chronic conditions, and c) optimize health, energy and well-being. Second, we will strive to broaden awareness, understanding and acceptance of natural, nutritional and integrative functional practices and therapies. Third, we will endeavor to create programs and services which help heal, rehabilitate, and educate our customers so that they can become more aware of and more successful with the utilitzation of different holistic (all natural) approaches on their journey to optimal health.

We believe that optimal health is an evolving continuum: a process of learning, awareness and choices, and a journey, with plateaus of greater vitality, energy and wellness. One of the hallmarks of optimal health, and the goal of AHS for its customers, is balance. Balance is defined in several areas: mind, body and spirit, the functionality of our organs and biochemical systems, our right and left brain, our parasympathetic/sympathetic nervous system, and our emotional/psychological and physiological well-being. We believe balance and optimization of our biological functions are essential in the journey to good health. AHS believes that knowledge and awareness are the keys that open the doors to change and more informed choices. This in turn results in healthier lifestyles.

Jill Karlsson Kazikos

Born and raised in Sweden, Jill trained as a Biomedical Scientist in traditional medicine. Later however, she switched to complementary medicine after witnessing what she describes as “miracles,” people who were cured from serious conditions and illnesses with alternative, all natural therapies, without deleterious side effects.

Jill opened her own clinic, Body Brain, in Gothenburg, Sweden to exploit the rehabilitative power of all natural remedies for the mind and body. She helped countless clients resolve their severe and chronic health issues with holistic therapies and detoxification.

Her training as a Life Coach and her innovative program, Be Boss over your Life, Health, and Business, helped many companies improve the level of performance for their managers. This unique program is the model for the Executive Wellness Retreat, an 8 Day “Reboot” for top executives who want to recover, recharge, and improve their level health and business performance.

Jill brings her unique approach to the Active Health Systems Executive Wellness Retreat and Weight Loss Programs. She is a member of CAM, an Organisation for Complementary & Alternative medicine, and NMTF, the Swedish Organisation for Nutritional Medicine Therapists.

Denise E. Plaza

Denise served as President of New York Outdoor, Inc. before joining forces with Jill to create a company which could integrate IFM, Nutrition, and holistic therapies under one umbrella. Denise combines her training in international law, finance and diplomacy and her experience in marketing and advertising to Active Health Systems as Managing Partner and Director of Marketing and Programs.
